Want to get the girl?

Ace your opener. A new study shows that first impressions form faster and last longer than previously thought. Students were paired off on the first day of school and talked for three, six or 10 minutes. Evidence at nine weeks showed that initial judgements guided how intimate relationships became, no matter how short the conversation. Study author Dr Michael Sunnafrank, says a negative first impression is tough to shake because the person may avoid you. To have her at hello, note her eye colour. That forces you to focus on her eyes, and eye contact is the way people really connect.
