A potent aphrodisiac is just a jog away. Women are sexually aroused by the scent of male sweat, according to researchers. When 48 female undergrads watched an erotic video after sniffing a control scent or androstadienone (a testosterone derivative in male sweat), the androstadienone inhalers experienced a 200 percent spike in sexual arousal. Androstadienone increased the women’s levels of cortisol, a hormone that stimulates arousal, by almost 40 percent. But watch the clock: you’ll have only about 60 minutes before her cortisol surge wears off, according to study author Dr Claire Wyart.
